Those of you who remember our evacuation from Togo back in April and May may be interested in this report from the UN about the levels of violence. Please pray for those who still wait in fear to return, and for what appear to be recent moves in the government toward greater openness and democratization.

After 13 years of ministry in West Africa, I'm now a part of God's mission in Albany, Texas--the coolest little town in Texas. As a clay pot, I long to be filled by God and taken in his hands to be a blessing to the people of this community.

I tried leaving a comment several days ago, but for some reason, it's not showing up. I am surprised that the official count of those murdered is 400-500 -- not surprised that the number is that high, really, but more surprised that the UN has declared it officially. Are there many (or any) Christians in the Watchi churches who are missing or fled to Ghana or Benin and are still gone?
